Registration Information for SCHOOL RECRUITERS
International schools sign up with Search Associates as a whole and not with a single office or branch.
Registering with Search Associates and advertising your school's vacancies
To register your school for any Search Associates recruitment fair and/or to list your school job vacancies, you must complete the School Application, including the salary / benefit / vacancy survey form, and submit the completed form online. Upon acceptance by Search Associates of your school's application, we will activate the username and password you have selected as part of the application process, so that you can:
- Gain access to our fully searchable online database of registered candidates.
- List your school's vacancies online, together with the other information you have submitted about your school, in the schools database which is accessible to all our registered candidates.
- Further advertise your vacancies by means of our automatic daily e-mail notification which goes out to all currently job-seeking Search Associates registered candidates informing them of all new and amended vacancies in your online vacancy chart.
Database Access Fees
For schools already listed on the Search Schools database and which register to attend any of the Search Associates recruitment fairs, there is no additional fee for use of the Search Candidate Database throughout the school year during which the school attends the Search Associates fair. The database access fee is included in the recruitment fair registration fee.
For schools that do not register for any of the Search Associates recruitment fairs, there is an annual database access fee of US$ 200 to use our online Candidate Database.
Schools that have never used the services of Search Associates in the past will also be required to pay a joining fee. New schools should click here for further details.
Placement Fees
A placement fee must be paid by the recruiting school to Search Associates, as per the Binding Agreement included in the School Application, for each candidate hired thanks to contact stemming from use of the Search Associates website databases, Search Associates recruitment fair attendance, and/or any other service provided by Search Associates.
Placement fees for candidates registered with the British branch of Search Associates, or hired at one of the recruitment fairs run by the British branch (Dubai and London-May) are always invoiced in UK pounds sterling (GBP). For the 2008-2009 school year the British branch placement fees will be as follows:
- £ 700 sterling per teacher or intern candidate appointed.
- £ 1180 sterling per administrative (senior management) candidate appointed, where an administrative candidate is defined as a member of senior staff whose in-class teaching commitment (often zero) is 50% or less of that required of a regular full-time teacher.
(Note: Search Associates has agreed that placement fees charged by the British branch should normally be a little higher than those charged by other branches. This is a consequence of UK legal requirements which make it impossible for the British branch ever to charge candidate fees.)
There will be an increase in the above fees for all placements in the year 2009-2010. The increase will come into effect from 1 September 2009.
There is no fee for communications with Search Associates, and/or Search candidates, which do not result in a candidate being appointed to a job at your school.
