Search Associates London-Spring 2010 Recruitment Fair Information for SCHOOL RECRUITERS

  • The main two days for interviews are Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May 2010;  by arrangement with those who can stay on, it is possible to continue interviews on the morning of Monday 3 May 2010.
  • Arrival on the evening of Thursday 29 April or the morning of Friday 30 April 2010 is recommended.  Recruiters need the Friday to review candidates' files thoroughly.

The hotel is adjacent to Paddington station, with direct access from Heathrow Airport by the Heathrow Express train.
Accommodation / Interview Rooms:
All recruiters need to stay at the Hilton London Paddington Hotel (or book day interview rooms if they live locally).  Search Associates has arranged specially reduced rates for rooms and suites.

Please book as early as possible, preferably well before the deadline.  The Hilton is holding rooms until 18 April 2010 only.  Bookings made after this date will be subject to availability and will not be guaranteed the special rates.

Room cancellations can be made without penalty up to one week before the proposed date of arrival.

How to book a recruiter place at the Search Associates London-Spring 2010 Recruitment Fair:
  1. Download and print out the London-Spring 2010 Recruitment Fair Recruiter Information.
  2. If you have not already received an invitation to register online for the fair, e-mail David Cope to confirm your plans and request an invitation.
    Registration no later than 31 March 2010 is greatly preferred.  After that date recruiter places may well be limited.
  3. Arrange prompt payment of the fair registration fee due, within 15 days of your online registration for the fair, and preferably by direct bank transfer.
  4. Once your recruiter place has been confirmed, make your own recruiter room reservation(s) at the Hilton London Paddington Hotel as explained above.
    Please book as early as possible.
  5. Register your school's vacancies electronically and add information about your school and its hiring policies to the Search Associates schools database.  This will allow teachers to see that you will be interviewing at the London-Spring 2010 fair and will allow you password-protected access to the Search Associates candidate database to review teachers' details in advance of the fair (a free service to all schools attending at least one Search Associates recruitment fair).

Note:  You complete the electronic registration ONCE only for ALL Search Associates Fairs.  Thereafter we request that you update the information on your school's vacancies regularly.  You will have password-protected access to your own school's online information in the Search Associates schools database.

Which Teachers attend the London-Spring 2010 Fair?
  • Teachers / senior teachers / principals with good supporting references, of several nationalities and many different backgrounds, many with a track record of successful achievement in international schools overseas, many also with current UK experience.
  • Teachers and school administrators keen to find new challenges in a variety of overseas locations and school systems.
  • Teachers from all standard specialist fields from Nursery / Primary class-teacher through to A-Level, IB HL or High School in most subjects.
Visas: EC, Canadian, U.S. and most other passport holders travelling from overseas require no visa but, if in doubt, please check with your travel agent and/or your nearest British embassy / consulate in good time.
