Search Associates London-Spring 2010 Recruitment Fair Information for CANDIDATES

  • The essential two weekend days for candidates to attend are Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 May;  by arrangement with those who can stay on, some recruiters may continue their interviews on the morning of Monday 3 May 2010.
  • For those arriving on Saturday - please arrive at the Search Associates registration desk in the Hilton London Paddington Hotel no later than 8.15 am.  Arrival on Friday 30 April in the afternoon / evening is recommended.

Accommodation:
Candidates are not required to stay at the Hilton London Paddington; there are plenty of less expensive options close by.  Please contact David Cope if you need advice on alternative hotel accommodation nearby.  Early booking is advised.

Please book as early as possible, preferably well before the deadline.  The Hilton is holding rooms until 18 April 2010 only.  Bookings made after this date will be subject to availability and will not be guaranteed the conference rate.  Room cancellations can be made without penalty up to one week before the proposed date of arrival.

Which Teachers?
  • Good teachers of all nationalities welcome.
  • The fair is especially convenient for teachers working in the UK or elsewhere in Europe - and many come from countries much further afield.
  • Interview opportunities are usually available in all standard specialist fields from Nursery / Primary class-teacher through to A-Level, IB HL or High School in most subjects.
Which Schools?
  • The 50 or so schools expected at this fair will come from a wide variety of locations worldwide: Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa, the Americas.
  • A mixture of educational systems - British, American, IB, International and National.
  • All good schools welcome.

  1. If not already registered, register with Search Associates.
  2. Print out and read carefully the London-Spring 2010 Fair Schedule and Conditions for Candidates pages.
  3. If you are already registered with Search Associates through the British branch and have not yet received an invitation to register online for the fair, e-mail David Cope to confirm your plans and request an invitation.  If you are already registered with Search Associates through another associate and have not yet received an invitation to register online for the fair, e-mail your associate (with a copy to David Cope) to confirm your plans and request an invitation.
  4. Once you have received confirmation of your candidate place at this fair from David Cope, book your own accommodation in London (if necessary).  Please note the deadline for Hilton reservations is 18 April 2010.

  • FINAL DEADLINE for candidates who are already fully registered with Search Associates and whose paperwork including all the required online confidential references is complete:  19 APRIL 2010
Visa: EC, Canadian, US and most other passport holders travelling from overseas require no visa but, if in doubt, please check with your travel agent and/or nearest British embassy / consulate in good time.
