General Information About The Search Associates London-January Recruitment Fair
The London-January Fair is for major IB and British International Schools and candidates who are suitably qualified to work in them. The fair is designed for good teachers who are looking for positions in highly regarded IB or British international schools. Generally the numbers accepted are limited to about 500 candidates – from all over the world – and a maximum of 125 specifically invited schools.
The schools recruiting at this fair come from a wide variety of locations worldwide; schools from Europe, the Middle East, the Asia / Pacific region, Africa and the Americas are expected.
There are normally interview opportunities at the fair for all standard specialisms from Nursery / Primary class teacher right through to A-Levels and IB SL & HL, in just about all subjects. In addition, Principals and other senior management candidates, Librarians, Counsellors and a number of other specialists are usually in demand at this fair.
David Cope is always present at the London-January fair, to assist the fair organiser (Gez Hayden) and advise candidates and schools. The fair is very appropriate for British branch candidates whose qualifications and experience can be considered appropriate for teaching in either British-curriculum or IB international schools.
All applications for places at the London-January fair need to be made to Gez Hayden. Early application is important – best during October or November. Candidates who apply will only be invited to attend the London-January Fair if Gez Hayden considers that they match the needs of the recruiters attending the fair, and so stand a good chance of receiving at least one job offer.
All candidates need to be free to attend on all three days of the fair (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), and availability for interviews on the Monday of the fair, though not essential, is strongly recommended if possible; candidates should make their travel and accommodation arrangements with this in mind. It is absolutely essential for candidates to register for the fair on the opening Friday (ideally before 5.30 pm).
