General Information About The Search Associates Dubai Recruitment Fair

The Dubai Fair is particularly appropriate for candidates looking for a position in the Middle East or Asia.  The majority of the schools recruiting at the fair come from those regions, though several schools from Europe and Africa usually come as well.  This increasingly popular fair now attracts around 50-60 schools and around 200 candidates each year.

International schools of all kinds - including British, American and IB schools - attend the Dubai fair, so it is suitable for a wide range of teachers, in all subject fields and at all levels.  The fair is especially convenient for candidates already working in Europe, the Middle East, Africa or Asia who can reach Dubai within reasonable flying time.  Some candidates from the UK, who particularly want to secure jobs in the Middle East region, attend each year.

The fair is organised by David Cope and is particularly appropriate for British branch candidates, but candidates registered with any other Senior Associate are equally welcome to request an invitation to register for a place.

Candidates wishing to attend the Dubai fair should contact David Cope (or, if not registered with the British branch, their sponsoring associate) as early as possible to request an invitation.  It is best to do this during October, November, December or January - and at the latest by the end of January.  Please read the appropriate fair information page, for candidates or school recruiters, for details of fair arrangements and registration deadlines.

The Dubai fair is held over a Friday / Saturday weekend.  If at all possible, candidates need to be free to attend on both of these two very full days of meetings and interviews, and should make their travel and accommodation arrangements with that in mind.  However, special arrangements will be made to ensure that any candidates who, because of professional commitments, have to arrive late or leave early are not in any way disadvantaged.

Candidates who may not be able to attend both days of the fair should inform the fair organiser, David Cope, as early as possible about their arrangements.
